Out to lunch

I slept in this morning.
The kids got themselves ready for the day (the "littles" are 6,7,9 - everyone else is teenish). I don't have babies anymore, so you wouldn't think this would be a big deal.

Steve took them out for lunch. He's a guy - and didn't peruse the outfits before the kids climbed into the van. They went, they ate, they enjoyed, they came home.

Larry came running to ask me a question. This was the first time I saw his clothing selection for the day. Here it is.....nice, huh? I asked Steve about the clothes - he said he hadn't noticed. lol...

(On top of it, I sent him up to change. He came back down in size 2T pants that he insisted were shorts....he wears a size 5. I debated.....and decided that since the outfit clashed LESS than the other one, we'd just go with it....lol)

What a cutie...looks like my youngest son (or rather, what I think he'll look like when he's a little bigger).

Whad'ya mean, that doesn't match? I'd dress my kid in that & think he looked fine.

My gosh he is cute!
My nephew is 3 and outweighs Aiden-5, by at least 5 lbs. While we were visiting I noticed he had on a pair of Aiden's old shorts, they had to be 18-24 mos. I could not figure out HOW they got the kid in these shorts because AK outgrew them a long time ago and he is a skinny little brat. Turns out, Foster just wears them without zipping or snapping. Also turns out that my 36 yr old brother is the person that dressed him. I almost offered to go get the boy some cheapo elastic shorts at target, but decided he is a civil engineer with 1 kid and i'm a public school teacher with 4. He can buy his kid clothes after all!
