Monday again

Erica went back into the hospital this morning. She woke up with a temperature of 103. At her morning clinic appointment, she still had a fever of 102 and her doctor had her admitted. She's in the ICU now.

Larry is letting NOTHING hold him down. He hasn't complained ONE time about not having arms to use. I heard him ONE TIME say "my arm hurts right here" - I informed the nurse that it probably meant he NEEDED some morphine asap since he NEVER complains of pain....so it must be pretty bad. He's in a great mood and life is grand.....and I'm working on coming up with any ideas for things he can do to stay busy that do not involve use of hands......

Mari (who moved out in a huff on Sat) wanted to talk. She doesn't want to move back home (and she is 18, as of last week), and she even has a nice/safe place to live. But she wanted to know if we would help her figure things out with her high school issues so that she can still attend and graduate. Of course. The difference in her life possibilities with and without a high school diploma are huge -- we will surely do everything we can to help her be successful.

And the kids keep asking "what are we doing today, mom?" as if I'm some fabulous entertainment coordinator....(my entertainment suggestions did include swimming at the YMCA, followed by some closet and room rearranging...woohoo!)

I'm glad things appear to be getting better :)

Looks like this will be a very up and down recovery for Erica, eh? I am still praying...
By the way, can you think of something entertaining for ME to do today? I am tired of laundry ;-)

I went without a van for 2 months and now my kids ask me the same questions every day. I guess bc we can go somewhere, we should. LOL

I am so sorry Erica is having such a hard time. Does all this up and down mean her body is rejecting the new liver or is it just complications?
