Missing my girls.......

No.......the girls are not in after curfew (see below), but they ARE gone. And I miss them soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much. I even tried to pick the less-becoming photos of the girls in hopes it would help me miss them less. Nah....turns out it's true that moms really don't care much what you look like! ;-)

Abigail is in TX. I did talk to her a LOT for most of her trip so far. For the last three days, she doesn't want to answer my calls. I think she's upset with me about not finding a way to finance the absurd charges it would incur to switch her trip to add 2 days. It's a good reason - to see birth sister graduate!! - but just too much dinero. I understand her frustrations and know things will be fine. But, I miss her voice......

Kate is still with grandma. Still refusing to speak at all. Meanwhile, I got her report card from the two sessions of summer school that just ended this week. The short version: That was an ABSOLUTE waste of 6weeks and $400 cash. Uggh. She never said she was struggling and refuses to ask for help. Kate, Kate. I sure love her. I hope she knows even a percentage of how much.

Max is also gone. He doesn't let us take photos, so I couldn't find any to share. Honestly, after years of his behaviors, I can't say that I miss him at all yet. So far, I've only noticed the calm. It's only been 2 days though. I got a message that he's doing VERY well at his (adoptive) sister's house. And, his summer school report card came - he passed his PE class -- this is Max's FIRST passsed high school course after one full year and summer school. Probably worth a celebration!! Have to think on what a good way to celebrate that might be....
